My Lovely Butterfly

On this layout, I did some hand stitching. It took a lot of time, but I love how it turned out. First, I traced around a die cut butterfly shape, then pierced the holes and afterwards stitched the butterfly with blue floss:

Auf diesem Layout habe ich mal handgestickt. Es hat lange gedauert, aber ich finde toll, wie es geworden ist. Zuerst hatte ich mit einem Bleistift um eine Schmetterlingsform gezeichnet, dann Löcher gepiekst und schliesslich den Schmetterling mit blauem Stickgarn gestickt:

Me and my Birthday Girl and a Winner!!!

Hello! Breathe in, breathe out. It's been a busy week - my sweet girl turned 5 and we first had the family to celebrate and then her friends yesterday. A lot of baking and preparing. But it was worth it, she enjoyed every minute! Here I am with my cutie:

Hallo! Einatmen, ausatmen. Es war eine stressige Woche - mein süsses Mädchen ist 5 geworden und erst hatten wir die Familie zum Feiern da und gestern noch die Kinder. Eine Menge Gebacke und Vorbereitung. Aber es wars wert, sie hat jede Minute genossen! Hier bin ich mit meiner Maus:

I made a fab cake - but the kids preferred the ice-cream! I prepared various toppings and sauces for them to choose from. They immensly enjoyed putting them onto their ice-cream. My husband and me enjoyed it, too :)

Ich hab ne tolle Torte gemacht - aber die Kinder haben das Eis bevorzugt! Ich hatte verschiedene Streusel und Sossen für sie vorbereitet. Sie hatten Riesenspass daran, davon etwas auf ihr Eis zu packen. Mein Mann und ich fandens auch ziemlich toll :)

Sweet Dog Birthday Card

I am busy preparing my girl's birthday party with her friends (she turned 5 yesterday), but I was able to squeeze in a tiny bit of time at my table and made this birthday card (suitable for a little person):

Ich bin gerade schwer damit beschäftigt, den Kindergeburtstag für meine Tochter vorzubereiten (sie wurde gestern 5), aber ich habs geschafft, ein klein wenig Zeit an meinem Basteltisch reinzuquetschen und habe diese Geburtstagskarte gemacht (die sehr gut für eine kleine Person geeignet wäre):

This photo was taken by a sweet american girl that offered to take a photo of us, because she watched me taking pictures of my husband and my daughter - her own mother is never in their photos as she is the one with the camera, too :) And this girl did a great job, don't you think?
We were visiting Oia and were waiting for the beautiful sunset. More of this in another post! Thanks for visiting!

Dieses Foto hat ein nettes, amerikanisches Mädel gemacht, die mir angeboten hatte uns zu fotografieren, nachdem sie mich dabei beobachtet hatte, wie ich Fotos von meinem Mann und unserer Tochter machte - ihre eigene Mutter ist wohl auf keinen der Fotos, weil sie auch immer diejenige mit dem Fotoapparat ist :) Und das Mädel hat die Aufnahme toll hinbekommen, denkt Ihr nicht auch?

A Card in Black and White

I've been wanting to color the Hero Arts Flower Background stamp using black & white only. Here I did it:

Ich hatte schon lange vor, den Hero Arts Flower Background Stempel nur in Schwarz & Weiss zu colorieren. Hier hab ich das mal gemacht:

To color the flowers, I used a black Faber Castell Aquarell pencil and some water.

Um die Blumen zu colorieren, habe ich einen schwarzen Faber Castell Aquarell Stift und ein wenig Wasser verwendet.
