You Have My Heart

I am back with a card I made for the current MFT Sketch Challenge 343 and the SSS Wednesday Challenge (Anything Goes). We've been drowning in pouring rain this week, so I enjoyed time coloring a few of my favorite images. This is the sketch I used:

And here is what I came up with:

I trimmed a panel of Kraft cardstock the same size as the card base. Then I stamped the girl image, die-cut the heart and adhered the panel to the card with foam tape. I cut a strip of patterned paper and adhered it to the card. Now I stamped the girl onto cardstock, colored it with Copics and paper-pieced her dress from patterned paper. After I had fussy-cut the image, I adhered it to the card with foam tape.

Then I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of red cardstock, notched the ends and adhered it. Finally, I added enamel dots.

I hope you like my take! I enjoyed dressing up this cutie immensely :)
Thanks for stopping by!

MFT Supplies:

Summer Time Hop With Sunny Studio and Studio Katia

Both teams are celebrating Summer Time with fun and colorful shaker cards using stamps from Sunny Studio and dies and embellishments from Studio Katia.  There are prizes and a special sale too! Both companies have a prize to give away too so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

Here is the card I came up with for today's hop:

I started with a panel of white cardstock and die-cut the balloon window from it using the Studio Katia Dotted Balloons Creative Dies. Now I die-cut the balloons from colorful vellum, adhered them, trimmed them and drew strings with a black marker. Then I created the shaker window, filled it with sequins from the Summer Fusion Mix and adhered the panel to the card base.

For the sentiment, I added watercolors to a piece of watercolor paper and die-cut the Sunny Studio Wishes Word Die from it. After I had adhered it to the card, I stamped and heat-embossed the rest of the sentiment from the Heartfelt Wishes Set onto a strip of black cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it with foam tape. Now I die-cut the stars from the watercolored piece, using the Star Border Die, and adhered them, together with matching sequins.

I hope you like my sample! I enjoyed combining products from these two fab companies!! Now to the prizes :)

To celebrate this Summer Time Hop we are giving away THREE prizes:
One prize pack from Studio Katia and two $25 store credits from Sunny Studio!

Here's how to win:

  • Comment on the Design Team blogs from Sunny Studio and Studio Katia (see a complete list of those participating at the Studio Katia and Sunny Studio Blogs).
  • Three winners will be chosen at random from the collective blog hop posts. Make sure to check out each of the blogs and comment for your chance to win. You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment, the better your chances are of winning!

Happy hopping, good luck and thanks for stopping by!

Baby Card

Happy weekend everyone! I am back with a baby card I made this week. My boss is a new proud father of a little son so I needed a card.

Here is what I came up with:

I trimmed a panel of patterned paper from Pink Fresh Studio slightly smaller than my card base (the card is about 15x15 cm to have enough space for all my colleagues to sign it) and adhered it to the card. Now I die-cut the letters from fun foam and blue cardstock and adhered them. I stamped the cute images onto white cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them with the matching dies. After I had adhered them with foam tape, I added the stars and the heart.

I'll enter this to the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.
